THE JULY ARTIST OF THE MONTH DHUBLLY (FINAL WEEK)

For the past few weeks, we all been reading an interview of a good and talented

Producer/musician Dhublly. Now it's the Final week for the our Artist of the Month, but we prepared few interesting questions for you guys in which, you can surely enjoy reading with.


MOFLOW:


Aside from making Dub music, what else can you make?


Dhublly:


       To start it off, I just wnna let you know guys that i almost listen to every type of music, whether it might be from a mellow chill out to heavy rock metal music, except for wannabes! hahahaha 


  My music ranges from ambient, chill house, downtempo, trip hop, experimental hip hop, dub step, electronica, to electro.


MOFLOW:

How much time would you finish a single instrumental?

Dhublly:

      Instrument? if im in my zone I can make a melody in a snap! daw sa pihu eh. lol There was this time where I made 3 tracks in just one day, one sitting. I was in my zone, fully rep up! 

MOFLOW:

Do you do research for new stuffs?

Dhublly:

    Yes I do, as much as possible i spend time researching and listening to new materials so that new ideas will come in. I got friends both local and international who help out, sending playlist that i might be interested to. I suggest for the viewers and readers or maybe future producers to research more, discover new music and never dwell to one type of music.

MOFLOW:

What can you say about those who are claiming they can do instrumentals but they can’t?

Dhublly:

                    Gee, dunno what to say. lol I got flaws too, the best thing that we can do is to share what we have, the knowledge. If you dont know this, I'll teach you and if I dont know how you made that then teach me. instead of competing, why not help each other out.

MOFLOW:

Do you have any album?

Dhublly:

         YES I DO! I'll be releasing my EP Abum soon, before the year ends. Watch out guys! Sneak peek of the album: This is hella something new, experimental shit not the conventional music that you listen too. Its something that we from Bacolod should be proud of. Are you planning to sell it ?

Dhublly:

     Hell no! got no plans of selling it. Its gonna be for free, its downloadable and you can share it around to your friends, lovers, family, even your lolo and lola.hahaha

MOFLOW:

Can you differentiate Underground from Mainstream Music?

Dhublly:

    It's like movies, underground music is like an Indie Film and your mainstream is like star cinema.hahahahaha

What are you doing for living aside from producing music?

Dhublly:

 SECRET! haha

Hahaha, I wonder what was that supposed to mean? hahaha well what can you suggest to every one ,family, friends, lovers and haters?

Dhublly:

                                              Haters? do i have one? lol love me or hate me.
Like i said, Music is the true language of men. If you really love listenin to music, you almost listen to everything, almost everything.

DHUBBLY! ARTIST OF THE MONTH (JULY WEEK TWO)

Moflow artist of the month “Dhublly” for the month of July and Yes! we are indeed in our 2nd week, steady beat making and my Man Dhublly is steady kickin the questions hardly.
For the first week I would like to correct how Dhublly is supposed to be spelled it is not "DHUBBLY", "DHUBLY" nor "DUBLY" blame the corrections to Souljah P, Me! For showing up wrong details :) sorry guys but yet, to continue our discussions. lets start the interview for week 2


MOFLOW:

We have heard that they call you the Dub King of Bacolod what can you say about that?

DHUBLLY:

That is a complete fallacy! I don't consider myself as a "KING" of dub nor anything.
I'm just some dude who plays and produces music that I so passionately dig.

MOFLOW:

When you produce your beats/instrumentals, what would be your perfect environment?

DHUBLLY:

I like my studio at my place; it’s the perfect spot for me.

MOFLOW:

During those good old days how hard was it to produce?

DHUBLLY:

It's was really that hard. Back then I have no idea how and what to start with making tracks.
The beats, melodies, rhythm, it's all in my head but the problem was how to apply it.
Thanks to the Internet, I had time working on some tutorials and shit.


MOFLOW:

Can you differentiate Dub, from other types of music?

DHUBLLY:

Dub is a sub-category of reggae music, but generally dub music is all about delays,
I mean delays from the guitars up to the drums; yes you got it right even the drums.
hahaha (I prefer if you should check it out in Wikipedia.


MOFLOW:

Who were the first persons who would criticize your work before showing it up to public?

DHUBLLY:

Everybody is my critic. After I make tracks I immediately pass it around.

MOFLOW:

As you have said in Week One, Your using Fruity Loops to produce your music, have you ever tried other soft wares or applications?


DHUBLLY:

A LOT! Logic Pro, Cubase, Reason, Adobe Audition, Ableton Live, etc.


MOFLOW:

In your own words, define Music.

DHUBLY:

SOUL FOOD! “Music is the true universal language of men, a catalyst for human emotions”

Power, Peace and Unity Towards music

THE FIFA WORLD CUP (SPAIN VS NETHERLANDS REVIEW)

I been waiting for the FIFA cup finals last night
The game lasted at least 2 hours 30mns from 2:30AM Philippine Time
To 5:02 AM the game was full of intense when David Villa of Spain
Misses all of his shot, Netherlands was on its hype. Most of them were having
A hard time with Spain, all NED defense was no use from Spain most of the time
Spain entered the goal area to send its chances for a goal.





From the 1st half 3 yellow cards drops for Netherlands, and 2 for Spain
On the 2nd half still 3 yellow cards for the Neds and only 1 for Spain
The Referee (Howard Webb From England) calls the end of the 2nd haf and yet no goals were counted
The decision was to add another 30mns for Extra time

As the game gets intense Torres entered late to substitute David Villa,
After the first period of extra time still no team goaled. Both team was
Having a good defense and due to that defense
Heitinga of Netherlands gets his last foul referee Throws out his red card



The game continued
But unexpectedly out nowhere the last 5 minutes
Made FIFA 2010 WORLD CUP a history for Spain
Ineista Kicks a goal that everybody thought that an offside



But no, it was real goal the game ended with a smile
Goalie Stekelenburg was crying for his lack of defense.



Spain took over Philippines for 300 years and now they taking
over FIFA CUP.
Well FIFA Fans? There you have it. They kicked and we also did

They say it will be open for P.I. but maybe like after a month or in a few weeks
but well we in here can't wait to see how those B-boys fly.

Well Guys! Moflow artist of the month is up to its first week!
To start things up I got my Man Dhubbly being featured in JULY week one.

Dhubbly was my Sound Design mentor, this dude thought me a lot of techniques
from the basic fundamentals up to his farthest ability in making music.

INTERVIEW:

MOFLOW:

How did it all started? You being dhubbly?

DHUBBLY:

It was bout my curiosity with music that started it all. Cause of that I wonder how do musicians made those kinda complex ear candy tunes. With just an acoustic guitar I started to learn simple chords, majors, the minors and in between. Playin some classic shit like jazz, rock and my favorite reggae.

Then during my high school era I was a part of a punk/ska/reggae band, Javaskaggs which gave way more to my affection with music. But unfortunately we disbanded, right then on I explore more on music production. I stumbled to this software, Fruity Loops--My weapon of choice until now, hope Fruity Loops will sponsors me.hahaha . Started doing lazy ass beats and melodies with it. For a start I concentrated on Dub music which my name came from, Dhublly. Then on I explore producing different categories of music, hip-hop, trip-hop, electronic, dub-step (fcukyeah!), house, ambient, experimental etc.

MOFLOW:

So what makes you unique from others?

DHUBBLY:

Listen to Dhublly. (hehe)


MOFLOW:

That was a clever answer! (hahaha) so sir! who influenced you in making music?

DHUBBLY:

My influences are around me, my friends, the people I work with, even you the listeners. (may gapamati haw? hahaha)


MOFLOW:

Of course! may ara na Sir ya! haha..What are your message to those who wants to be a producer in the future?

DHUBBLY:

Fuck genre! make beats from your heart not from what is "USO". If you guys wanna learn, I could teach you the basics of music production. FOR FREE! hahaha
